ROSS. Barbara Louise (Blickley) Ross, 81, of Windsor, beloved wife of George J. Ross died Saturday, (October 22, 2005) at a local convalescent home. Born April 8, 1924 in Bristol, CT daughter of the late George and Eunice (Allen) Blickley, she has lived I Windsor since 1953. Barbara graduated from Bristol High School in 1942 and Hartford Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. She was head nurse of pediatrics at Hartford Hospital from 1945-1953 and them worked at the Burgdorf Pediatric Health Clinic, Hartford from 1976-1993. She was a parishioner of St. Gabriel Church, Windsor. She loved her four sons and all of her grandchildren and enjoyed playing bridge, cooking and spending time with her sister, Virginia. Besides her husband of, George of 57 years, she is survived by four sons, Peter Ross and his wife, Darlene of Simsbury, David Ross and his wife, Marjorie of Windsor, Thomas Ross and his wife, Ellen of Medfield, MA, Mark Ross and his wife, Carol of Shelton; a sister, Virginia Lyvers of Rockville, MD; ten grandchildren, Adam, Megan, Caitlin, Emily, Brendan, Sarah, Lauren, Madeline, Olivia, and Andrew. She was predeceased by her sister, Gretchen Lehman. Family and friends may gather Tuesday, October 25, at 9:15 a.m. at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel Church, 379 Broad St., Windsor. Burial will be in Windsor Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Windsor. Her family will receive friends Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home.
