Walter M. Brazalovich, 79, of South Windsor, died Thursday, February 23, 2017 while at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. Walter was born in Hartford on June 25, 1937 to the late Harry and Mary (Poloski) Brazalovich. He grew up in Hartford and after graduating High School went on to serve our country in The United States Coast Guard Reserves. Walter made his home in South Windsor where he lived the past 55 years. He married his wife Mary on October 18, 1958 and enjoyed each other's company until her death in 2008. He worked as a butcher for various grocery stores. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed his quiet time watching a good movie and watching UCONN Women's Basketball. Walter is survived by his daughters Jody B. Jackson and her husband Duane of Glen Allen, VA, Wendy L. Molnar and her husband Curt of Middlebury, CT; his brother Richard Brazalovich and his wife Kathleen of East Hartford; his grandchildren Tasha, Shane, Alexandra, and Dylan Jackson, as well as Kyle, Madison, and Jack Molnar; his great grandson Declan Jackson, and numerous nieces and nephews. Walter was predeceased by both of his parents; his wife of 49 years Mary Brazalovich; his 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Calling hours are being held on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road, Vernon, CT 06066 from 10 to 11:30 am. A Catholic Memorial Mass will take place at 12 noon on Monday at St. Margaret Mary Church, 80 Hayes Road in South Windsor. Burial will be private at the request of his family.
