Virginia Clark Roaix, 85, of South Windsor, beloved wife of the late Earl R. Roaix died peacefully on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at her home. She was born on May 8, 1932 in Hartford, CT. Virginia grew up in Hartford and was a graduate of Bulkeley High School. She went on to attend Hillyer college. She was married to the love of her life, Earl Roaix on Sept 17, 1955 and they settled in South Windsor in 1957. Virginia was a gentle, devoted, loving soul. She never had a bad word for anyone. She craved her independence. When her husband Earl passed in 1994 she learned to perform all maintenance on her house. She ran the snowblower until she was 83, and still ran around the yard picking up sticks and twigs. She survived a couple of weeks in the hospital with Congestive Heart Failure and a radical mastectomy and just kept on ticking. She lived life fully and enjoyed every day. She leaves her son, Timothy A. Roaix of Middletown. She was predeceased by her daughter, Selina M. Roaix in 2017. Funeral services will be private at the request of her family. Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home in South Windsor has care of the arrangements. Please visit us at www.carmonfuneralhome.com for online condolences and guest book.
