Vincent John “Vin” McCauley, 70, of Ellington, CT entered his eternal home while surrounded by his family on Friday, July 28, 2017. Vin is survived by his wife of 48 years Antoinette (Ann Tantillo), his 3 daughters Dawn (Dan) Snellenberger, Patricia (Jonathan) Watts, Carolyn (Jon) Hussey, and his son Vincent Jr. (Elise), along with his loving grandchildren Emma, Jacob, Liam, Harrison, Chloe, Jonah, Norah, Isabella and Vincent III. He is also survived by his brother Harold (Barbara) McCauley; his sisters Margie (Ed) Butler, Rosemary (Thomas) O’Brien, and Patricia Seipp. He was predeceased by his brother Thomas McCauley and his sister Kathleen Carr. He will also be missed by his many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. Vin was a loving father, papa, uncle, brother and friend. He also enjoyed many close friendships within his church family. Vin grew up in Brooklyn, NY and started a career on Wall Street. He was the youngest member of the American Stock Exchange. He became partner at Laprade, Lebowitz, McCauley and Arnone and he worked in the stock trade as an institutional block trader for most of his career, which spanned over 43 years. He was elected to the Governor’s Board of Ethics for the NYSE and worked for Conning and Company for 14 years, of which he was partner for 9 years. Before retiring, he had the opportunity to work with his brother and nephews at McCauley Securities. He worked hard to provide for his family and support his church. Although having many great accomplishments, he considered the greatest to be his relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Vin was also passionate about Christian education and served as the Chairman of the Board at The Cornerstone Christian School. He served faithfully at the Rockville Church of the Nazarene (CT), Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene (FL) and Edgewater Alliance Church (FL). He loved spending time with his family and he was an avid New York Sports fan. He also invested in people in his community, particularly underprivileged youth at The Rock Ministry. He enjoyed serving people from all walks of life. Vin’s family will receive friends on Tuesday August 1, 2017 from 11-1 PM and from 4-7 PM at the Ladd Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home 551 Talcottville Rd. Vernon, CT. A memorial service will be held at the Manchester Church of the Nazarene 218 Main St., Manchester on Wednesday August 2, 2017 at 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Duke Brain Cancer Center 20 Duke Medicine Circle Durham, NC 27710 or to the Cornerstone Christian School 236 Main St., Manchester, CT 06042, or to The Rock Ministry (through RCN) 47 East St., Rockville, CT 06066.
