Victor J. Dauphinais, 92, of Windsor, beloved husband of the late Barbara (Beaupre) Dauphinais, died peacefully on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, surrounded by his family. Victor was born on February 23, 1925 in Hartford, CT, son of the late Victor and Bernadette (Manseault) Dauphinais. He grew up in West Hartford and was a graduate of Hall High School in 1943. He served our country with the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Machinist's Mate Second Class during WWII, and was stationed at the Pensacola Naval Air Station. He was married to Barbara Beaupre on June 21, 1947 and together they moved to Windsor in 1960. Victor held a managerial position at the Metropolitan District Commission, retiring in 1986, after 39 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and helping others. He was a loving and devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He leaves his son, Stephen P. Dauphinais and his wife Elizabeth of Venice, FL; his daughters, Gloria Ryan and her husband George of E. Hartland, and Deborah Pelletier and her husband Roderick of Glastonbury; four sisters, Claire Acquaotta of Windsor Locks, Therese O'Hare of Wethersfield, Ann-Marie Sparmer of Niantic, and Mary Attanasio and her husband Richard of Peekskill, NY; 8 grandchildren, Eric, Michelle, Jennifer, Heather, Rachel, Joshua, Erin, and Nicholas; and 6 great grandchildren, Jacob, Celia, Kalliann, Grayden, Emmett, and Beckett. He was predeceased by his brother, Edward Dauphinais. His family will receive friends on Sunday, April 16, 2017, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017, 10 a.m., directly at St. Patrick - St. Anthony Church, 285 Church Street, Hartford. Burial will follow with Military Honors at the Windsor Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph, PO Box 3506, St. Augustine, FL 32085 or Franciscan Center for Urban Ministry, 285 Church St., Hartford, CT 06103.
