Veronica "Ronnie" (Jimenez) Mora, 63, of Enfield, loving wife of 46 years to David Mora, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Hartford Hospital with her family at her side after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Albuquerque, NM, the daughter of Annie (Chavez) Jimenez of Albuquerque, NM and the late Arturo Jimenez, she grew up and lived in Albuquerque, Garden Grove, CA, Bull Head City and Hammond, IN before moving to Enfield 43 years ago. She was a graduate of Manzano High School in Albuquerque, NM, Class of 1973. She was employed as a financial advisor at Lindberg & Ripple in West Hartford for over 10 years. Ronnie loved her job and the people that she worked with. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, especially shopping and going to their sports events. Going to her favorite 99 Restaurant in Enfield with her family was a highlight to any week. Ronnie was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be dearly missed. In addition to her mother, and her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Monica Mora of Laughlin, NV, and Marlo Mora of Vernon; four grandchildren, Tyler and Destiny Ferrante, Samantha Kraft and Kyle Kirby; two brothers, Martin Jimenez of Sterling, VA, and Steven Jimenez of Albuquerque, NM; two sisters, Sandra Greene and Felicia Jimenez both of Albuquerque, NM, and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother, Gabriel Jimenez. Her family would like to thank the physicians and staff who cared for her, Dr. Kamradt, Physician's Assistant Erin Frank, Dr. Shichman, and her five angel nurses, Nancy, Jill, Darcy, Carolyn and Sheila. Her family will be forever grateful. Ronnie's family will receive friends for calling hours on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard Church, 25 St. Bernard Terrace, Rockville. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
