Rosario Ronald Angelica, 76, of South Windsor, beloved husband of Kathleen (Mooney) Angelica, died peacefully on Friday, April 21, 2017, at home, surrounded by his family. He was born on September 23, 1940, in Thompsonville, CT, son of the late Peter and Anna (Frangiamore) Angelica. Rosario grew up in Enfield and was graduated from the Hartford Regional Technical School in 1959. He served our country in the Army Air Corps, where he became an accomplished Parachutist. He was a part of the military team who made the first Military Baton Pass over Germany (C-910). He attained the standing of D-594. He went on to be a member of the CT Parachutist Inc. (CPI), and obtained his private pilot's license, flying small single engine planes, both low and high wing. He was a resident of South Windsor for over 35 years and worked as a Technical Sales Manager for Pioneer Aerospace for over 50 years. Along with his wife of over 40 years, Kathie, he leaves his sister-in-law, Irene Angelica of Enfield; his cousins, Roger Frangiamore and family, Patty Ripish, Annette Farrow, and Mary Foote and family; his nieces and nephews, Amanda Vesce and family, John Baron and family, Jeffery Angelica and family, Daniel Angelica and family, and Linda Townsend and family. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph Angelica, and his three sisters, Mary, Nina, and Lucy. His family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, from 5-7 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at 11:30 a.m., in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Enfield with Military Honors.
