Ronald Lee Kulbacki, 75, of Simsbury, Connecticut passed away at home after a coura-geous battle with lung cancer on October 3, 2016 with his loving wife, Patricia, by his side. Ron was born in Warren, Pennsylvania on November 28, 1940 to the late Amerika (Piccirillo) Kulbacki and Joseph Kulbacki. He spent his childhood in Irvine, Pennsylvania hunting, fishing, and playing football with his brother, the late Joseph V. Kulbacki. He was a graduate of Youngsville High School and Penn State University and worked in sales for most of his career. After retiring, Ron became the owner of Mr. Cheesecake bakery in South Windsor, Connecticut, where he truly enjoyed creating desserts and ca-tering to local restaurants. Ron was passionate about trout fishing, wine making, cooking, golf, and jazz. He loved watching basketball with his wife, Patricia, and spending time with his daughter, Mary, her husband, Paul-Robert, and their three children. Ron was a gentle, caring, and hardworking man. He leaves behind his wife, Patricia (Phillips) Kulbacki, daughter, Mary (Kulbacki) Blackman, his three grandchildren, Hunter, Wyatt, and Owen, as well as loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and long-time friends. In lieu of flowers, Ron's family asks that those wishing to offer gifts make a donation in Ron's name to the American Lung Association of CT, 45 Ash St., East Hartford, CT 06108-3272, or to Trout Unlimited, P.O. Box 7400, Woolly Bugger, WV 25438.
