Rodney A. "Rod" Dubay, 60, of Vernon, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at Hartford Hospital, surrounded by his family and friends. Rodney was born in Hartford, CT on September 8, 1956, the son of Anastasia (Obar) Dubay of Vernon, and the late Harold Dubay. Rodney grew up in East Hartford and graduated from East Hartford High School with the Class of 1974. Rodney worked for Pratt & Whitney for 20 years. Before going to work at Paradigm Precision, he was an over-the-road truck driver for Stop and Shop. Rodney was a man of faith and recently became a member of The River of Life Christian Fellowship in Tolland. He loved the Cowboys, Red Sox, NASCAR, golf, bowling, Harley Davidson bikes and Chevy trucks. He leaves his sister, Brenda Sartori of Ellington; his niece, Casey Ann Sartori and her fiancé Jamie Bouissey and their children, Jordyn Ann and Alex David Bouissey of Delaware and his nephew, Adam Charles Sartori and his wife Joan of Manchester. His family will receive friends on Saturday, December 3, 2016, from 4-6 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor; followed by a Celebration of Life Service in the funeral home at 6 p.m. Rodney's family encourages everyone to stay and help them celebrate Rod's life. Burial will be private at the request of his family.
