Regina A. (Niklinski) Bednarz, of South Windsor passed away Monday December 5, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of John A. Bednarz, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage. Regina was born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Cyryl and Francis (Dziadul) Niklinski. She attended Sacred Heart School and Mary Immaculate Academy in New Britain. She was a graduate of University of Connecticut and had worked as a Medical Technologist at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Boston, MA and Rockville General Hospital in Rockville, CT for over 20 years. Besides her husband John, she leaves her children, Joy Culpepper and husband Steve of Jacksonville NC, Julia Alcutt and husband Walt of Ellington CT, Joel Bednarz and wife Maureen of West Hartford, CT and John Bednarz and wife Diane of Emerson NJ. She also leaves her sister Alice DiMauro of Middlefield, CT and brother Cyril Niklinski and wife Veronica of Irmo, SC. She was predeceased by her sister Dolores Niklinski and great granddaughter Harper Culpepper. She also enjoyed time with her many grandchildren Ben, Johnny, Andrew, Christopher, Zac, Nick, Katie, Sam, Cara, Ali, Kirsten and Libby. She was recently blessed with two great grandchildren Killian and Chandler. A private family gathering will be held to celebrate her life.
