Patricia S. (Sullivan) Dillon, 85, beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Dillon Jr. passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 18, 2017. Patricia was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Anna (Taylor) Sullivan. She was born in Springfield, MA, and graduated from Torrington High School in 1949, She received her Nursing degree from the St. Francis School of Nursing in 1952 and moved to South Windsor that same year. She worked at St. Francis hospital until retiring in 1978. Patricia loved to travel the world and visited Europe numerous times, she also enjoyed reading and watching UCONN men's basketball, but her greatest joy were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Wednesday afternoon club, South Windsor Historical Society, St. Francis Nurses society and the 4-H organization. Patricia leaves behind her Son Thomas F. Dillon of South Windsor, three daughters, Mary Ellen Dillon of South Windsor, Patricia A. Dillon of Newington and Kathleen M Orduz and her husband Byron of South Windsor. Two Brothers Thomas F. Sullivan and his wife Claire of Bantam and Charles A. Sullivan and his wife Barbara of FL., Two Sisters Marie DeAngelis and her husband Robert of MD and Maureen Prior who she affectionately referred to as "My Sister" of Old Saybrook, also a Son-in-Law David Lightfoot of Lincoln, CA, two grandchildren Thomas J. Dillon III and his wife Christina of South Windsor and Victoria- Taylor Orduz of South Windsor and two great grandchildren A.J. Lorenzo and Caia Ella-Rose Dillon as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Patricia was predeceased by her daughter Deborah A. Dillon-Lightfoot and her brother Kevin Sullivan. Her family will receive friends on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 4pm-7pm at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd. South Windsor. Friends and family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 9am, followed by a Mass of Christian burial which will be held at St. Francis of Assisi at 10 am. Burial will follow at Center Cemetery in South Windsor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to 4-H Camp C/O Elsie P.
