Pamela Lee (Ullstrom) Taylor, 63, of Vernon, beloved wife of George J. Taylor, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Rockville General Hospital. She was born on July 30, 1954 in Westborough, MA, daughter of the late Norman and Elizabeth (Bolton) Sylvester. Pamela grew up in Worcester, MA and graduated from Burncoat High School. She was happily married to George J. Taylor for 33 years and resided in Vernon, CT. Pamela worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for many years and Trans-Tek Inc. in Ellington. She was a member of the Town of Vernon Fire Department Women's Auxiliary. Pamela enjoyed trips to the casino with her family and had a love for animals, especially her cat, beagle and bird. Along with her husband George, she leaves her daughter, Lindsay Miner, and her husband Christopher of Saco, ME; her brother Robert Sylvester and his wife Anna of Westborough, MA; her sister Barbara Shepard and her husband Barry of Tavares, FL; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Alexess; her brother-in-law Donald Maguda and his wife Gabe of Vernon; her sister-in-law, Ruth Lessig of Vernon and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her niece, Rachel Shepard and aunt, Beatrice Ullstrom. Her family will receive friends on Friday, May 26, 2017 from 2pm to 4pm at the Ladd Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Rd., Vernon. A prayer service fill follow at 4pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111 and / or National Kidney Foundation, 1463 Highland Ave., Cheshire, CT 06410.
