Nancy "Nana" Rose (Bysko) Borasky, 67, of South Windsor and formerly of Vernon, beloved wife of 47 years to Raymond Borasky, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 30, 2016. Born in Bristol, the daughter of the late Peter and Janet (Dombroski) Bysko, she grew up and lived in Hartford before moving to Vernon, where she lived for over twenty-five years before moving to South Windsor five years ago. She was a graduate of Hartford Public High School, Class of 1968. Nancy was a longtime devoted member of Union Church in Rockville where she served as the nursery coordinator for many years and she also sang in the church choir. She was a member of the women's coffee group at Hillcrest. Family was most important to Nancy and she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, siblings and friends. She was an avid crafter and baker and she loved spending time at her sisters campground. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Tammy Lynn Szrejna and her husband Tony of Vernon, and Sheryl Lee Maloney-Platt and her husband Brian of Stafford Springs; eight grandchildren, Zachary, Austin, Jack, Ashton, Cloey, Angelyna, Logan and Landon; her siblings, Diane Walker and her husband Raymond of Bolton, Barbara Magliano and her husband Michael of Oakdale, Peter Bysko, Jr. and his wife Michele of Vernon, and Sharon Warren of Farmington; a special god child, Pamela Marie Cannata; a sister-in-law, Barbara Sutton of West Hartford; a brother-in-law, Edward Borasky and his wife Connie of Daytona, FL, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her son, Anthony Raymond Borasky, and her Father-in-law and her mother-in-law, Edward and Helen Borasky. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Union Church, 3 Elm Street, Rockville. Her family will receive friends at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family.
