Nancy F. Bibeau, 71, of East Hartland, beloved wife for 26 years of the late Stephen W. Bibeau, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in Meriden on March 5, 1945, daughter of the late Frank and Alice (Scherrer) Mack, she was raised in Meriden and was a graduate of Francis T. Maloney High School, Class of 1963. After high school, Nancy married her childhood love, Stephen, and the young couple moved to South Meriden and started a family. In 1978, Nancy and her family moved to East Hartland where she had lived for the last 38 years. As a young woman, Nancy and her husband loved to try new restaurants and often went out on weekends to Northampton, MA. Nancy enjoyed taking care of her yard and tending to the flower gardens around her home. In her spare time, she enjoyed taking trips to Cape Ann, MA and watching her favorite sports teams especially the Boston Red Sox and the UConn Men's and Women's Basketball teams. Most of all, Nancy will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt, who enjoyed being with her two daughters and her three grand dogs and two grand cats. She leaves two daughters, Deidre Plaskett and her husband Jeff and Sarah Dennis all of Granby; a sister, Joan Gordon of Meriden; and two nieces, Kimberly Adamowicz and Jennifer Gordon all of Meriden. Her family will receive friends on Thursday, September 1, 4-7 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home, 364 Salmon Brook St., Granby. Family and friends may gather on Friday, September 2, 9:30 a.m., at the Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home, Granby, followed by a graveside service at 11 a.m., at Walnut Grove Cemetery, 817 Old County Rd., Meriden. Nancy's family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, CT 06111.
