Michael P. Frank, 58, of East Hartland, passed away at home surrounded by his wife and children Friday, May 18, 2018. He passed peacefully after a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on May 3, 1960 in Hartford, he was the son of the late Marilyn (Necker) Frank and Joseph C. Frank. Michael grew up in Granby, Windsor and Suffield, began dating his beloved wife when he was 16, and graduated from Suffield High School. He worked at American Sawing and Drilling until he and his brother formed their own company, Frank Brothers Construction Services, in 1996. Michael was devoted to his family and friends, would help anyone at any time, and was a jack-of-all-trades. He was the most friendly, kindhearted, loving, genuine, and hardworking person. Michael was a car and truck enthusiast, an animal lover, and also enjoyed antiquing. He will be forever remembered for these traits along with his smile, humor, and generosity. Michael was a great man and it was a privilege for everyone who got to know him. Michael is survived by his wife of 36 years, Helena (Cieslak) Frank; his children, Brittany and Bryant; his brothers and sisters, Ray Frank and his wife Kathy, Jay Frank and his wife Cindy, Paula Buckland, and Frank Frank and his wife LeeAnn; his in-laws, the Cieslak family, who adored him; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Michael was predeceased by his brother, Eddie Frank. Memorial hours will be at Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home, 364 Salmon Brook St., Granby on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 4 to 7 PM, with a service at 6:30 PM. Memorial donations may be made to The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Research at 415 Crossways Park Drive, Suite D, Woodbury, NY 11797.
