Mary (Kinsley) Kalinoski, of Bloomfield, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, July 31, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital, where she was born 84 years ago. Wife of the late Victor A. Kalinoski and daughter of the late James and Delia (Keane) Kinsley, she was raised in Hartford, attended St Joseph Cathedral School, and graduated from Mount St Joseph Academy and St Joseph College. She earned her Masters from UConn and her 6th Year Certificate from CCSU. Over 40 years, she taught at JP Vincent School in Bloomfield and at Talcott, Sedgwick, King Philip, Hall High schools and the Robinson School in West Hartford. She was later very active as a realtor in West Hartford, finally retiring in 2013. A communicant of Sacred Heart Church and member of the Lazarus Society, she belonged to the CT Friendship Force, the Bloomfield Garden Club, the CT Retired Teachers Association, the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Mother’s Circle and Shennecossett Yacht Club. She loved travel, reading, walking in Penwood Park and at Nauset Heights, her garden and her family. She leaves children Mark K. Kalinoski of NYC, Susan Franklin of Ashland, MA, Thomas V. Kalinoski (Jill Sinclair) of Glenside, PA, and Laura A. Gara (Victor) of Burlington; four grandchildren: Brian and Michelle Gara and Jonathan and Rachel Franklin; her sister Nancy Barrett (Thomas) of Hooksett, NH, and many dozens of cousins and friends around Hartford and the world. She was predeceased by a son, Victor K. Kalinoski, and her brother, George J. Kinsley. Her family will receive friends from 9 - 9:45 AM on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Wintonbury Avenue, Bloomfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM. A reception will follow. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
