Lois E. Scott, 97, of Suffield, beloved wife for over 60 years of the late Herbert Walter Scott, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 22, 2016 in Enfield. Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Floyd and Leona Niles, she was raised in Windsor and had lived in Suffield for over 60 years. Lois worked as a private duty nurse for many years. Most of all, Lois will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who took care of everyone in her family. She leaves a son, Brian Scott and his wife Linda of Chester, MA; four grandsons, William Smith of Enfield, Walter Smith and Greg Smith both of Suffield, and Scott Craig of Springfield, MA. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two daughters, Nancy Craig and Ethel Smith; a brother; and a sister, Janice Niles. Her family will receive friends on Saturday, January 30, 3-5 p.m., at the Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St., North, Suffield. Her family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Suffield Emergency Aid, 450 South Street Suffield, CT 06078.
