Lamar Stanford, 38 of Windsor, CT passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. Lamar was born in Hartford, CT on July 25, 1979 to Olive and Matthew Stanford of Jamaica, West Indies. Lamar was raised in Bloomfield, CT where as a child he played soccer and football, he was also involved in competitive swimming. After graduating from Bloomfield High School in 1997, Lamar attended The University of Hartford. He was later employed by Budget & Avis Car Rental Companies at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, CT, and later worked as a Supervisor for LAZ Parking. In pursuit of his dream of becoming a Truck Driver, Lamar attended classes at New England Tractor Trailer Training School of CT, obtaining his Commercial Drivers License permit in 2017. Lamar was fun loving, charismatic, and witty. To Lamar life was a gift and he believed in living it to the fullest. He had an unbridled zest for life, and an affinity for fast cars and motorcycles. He also enjoyed making music, dancing, and making people laugh. In addition to spending time with friends, Lamar was a loving dad who enjoyed creating memorable moments with his children. Lamar will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. He is predeceased in death by his mother Olive (Nichols) Stanford, his maternal grandparents Altum and Vivena Nichols and his paternal grandparents Evadney and Morris Stanford. He is survived by his father Matthew Stanford, wife Jessica Stanford, children Shawn, Jahmari and Jahrye, sisters Sylvia Stanford, of Port Morant, JA, West Indies, Vivette Campbell (Rudolph) of Hartford, CT, Sharon Stanford of Bluefields, Westmoreland,JA, West Indies, and Paulette Spyke (Darryl) of Virginia Beach, VA, brother, Desmond Stanford of Bluefields, Westmoreland, JA, West Indies, uncles Carlton & Wesley Nichols (Isolyn)of Bloomfield, CT, aunts, Ulanda Tate & Delphena Lyons of Lakeland and Port Charlotte, FL, respectively, Ena Nichols & Zeti Van Riel (Wesley) of Bloomfield, CT and Vena McDonald (Todd) of Windsor, CT, nephew Dhevon Barco of Virginia Beach, VA, niece Crystal Campbell of Hartford, CT, godson Marquise Rivera, of Manchester, CT, childhood friend Tyeisha White, of Hartford, CT, and a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
