Kim "Kimmie" (Wilson) Major, 50, of Vernon, a beloved daughter, mother, sister and friend, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at her home. Born in Hartford, the daughter of Jack and Irene (Pascoe) Wilson of Westbrook, she grew up and was a lifelong resident of Vernon. Kim was a graduate of Rockville High School, Class of 1983. She was the office manager for Dr's Tandy-Korus & Whidden in Coventry and Vernon. Kimmie loved animals, going to the beach, walking the dogs and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving daughter, Kaitlyn Timoteo and her husband Robert of Vernon; two sisters, Tracey Devoe-Drost and her husband Frank of Springfield, MA, and Wendy Holmes and her husband James of Vernon; her former husband and friend, Richard Major of Vernon; several nieces and nephews; her two dogs, Wrx and Mandy, and her two cats, Sofie and Mitzy. Her family will receive friends for memorial calling hours on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 from 1 – 3 p.m. and 5 – 7 p.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon, followed by a memorial service at the funeral home beginning at 7 p.m. Memorial donations in Kim's memory may be made to her daughter, Kaitlyn Timoteo, 167 Tunnel Road, Vernon, CT 06066.
