Kelorah Davis, 92, of Bronx, NY, died on Monday, May 14, 2018, at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY. She was born in St. Mary, Jamaica, West Indies on March 17, 1926. Kelorah was the daughter of the late Albert and Naomi Wright of Jamaica. She attended Preston & Free Hill School in Jamaica as well as Saint Andrew Technical High School. She lived in the Bronx for over 40 years. Left behind to appreciate her life, are her children, Vilma Davis and Ted Davis, both of NY, Pamela Lowe and Michael A Davis, Sr. both of Connecticut, George D. Davis Jr. of Florida and Lisa Davis-Onwu of England; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sons-in-law, Steve Lowe and Al Onwu; two daughters-in-law, Maxine Davis and Louise Davis; her sister, Peggy Thompson of Canada; and hosts of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, George D. Davis, Sr.; a son, Lee Washington Davis; a daughter-in-law, Esta Davis; and three brothers. Kelorah loved & enjoyed her family, her friends & visits from her church. Her passion was fashion designing, dressmaking, beading, gardening, cooking, baking, raising rabbits and miniature parakeets. She loved the Lord and was committed to serving Him at an early age. “I’ve lived my life, I’ve done my best, and now I’m ready to be at rest. Remember you are each other’s friend I say so, Be!” -Love, Mama. Her family will receive friends on Saturday, May 26, 9-10 a.m., followed by a Homegoing Service at 10 a.m., at Union Baptist Church, 1921 Main St., Hartford. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Bloomfield.
