Jean M. Parlapiano Foley, 64, of New Port Richey, FL, beloved wife of John Foley, passed away on December 23, 2016 at the Life Care Center of New Port Richey. Jean was born in Hartford, CT to the late Irene (Bilak) Parlapiano and John Parlapiano, Sr. on March 9, 1952. She grew up in Windsor and spent close to 30 years in Enfield before moving to Florida where she spent the last 11 years. Jean worked with Advo systems in the Accounts Receivables. She loved traveling and filled 2 passports with her wanderlust. She enjoyed walking and swimming; loved working and was an avid reader. She was also the past president of VFW Ladies Auxiliary for many years. Jean is survived by her husband John Foley of 23 years of New Port Richey, FL; her son Gary Haynes and his wife Dulce of Enfield, CT; her step daughters Diane and her husband Ryan Aubin of Ellington, Denise Foley and Rosalie Foley of California, Daniel Grimaldi and his wife Autumn of Somers; her sisters Joyce Grasso and her husband Angelo of Glastonbury, Julie St. Amant and her husband Gary of Enfield, Joann Cool and her husband James of Feeding Hills, MA; her sister-in-law Lisa Parlapiano of Haddam, Donna Moraza and her husband Bill, Louise Jackston and her husband Bob; her mother-in-law Mary Foley; her cherished Goddaughter Paige Cool of Fort Lauderdale, FL; her step-grandchildren Caterina Fonseca, Addison, Gabriella and Charlotte Aubin. Rosabella, Joseph and Carmelina Grimaldi; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Aside from her parents she was predeceased by her brother John Parlapiano, Jr. Memorial Calling hours are being held on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Carmon Poquonock Funeral Home, 1816 Poquonock Avenue, Windsor, CT from 3 to 6 pm with a memorial service at the funeral home at 6 pm. In lieu of flowers donations in Jean's memory may be made to Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center, 85 Retreat Avenue, Hartford, CT 06106.
