“For my loving mother ”
2 of 2 | Posted by: Chris Barrow - Ellington, CT

Janet (Warburton) Barrow, 74, of Ellington, loving wife of 55 years to the late George Lee Barrow, (who passed away while visiting Janet in the hospital in March 2018), passed away at home on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She fought as long as she could, but after George passed, she gave up the fight and now joined the love of her life in Heaven. Born in Hartford, the daughter of the late Bennett and Alice (Jones) Warburton, she grew up and lived in East Hartford before moving to Ellington. They lived in Georgia for a few years before returning to Ellington recently. Prior to her retirement, Janet worked for many years in the banking community, mostly at CBT and Webster Bank. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Janet is survived by her children, Bonnie Wexelman and her husband Alan of Ellington, and Christopher Barrow and his wife Wanida of Thailand; her grandchildren, Danielle, Lindsey, Justin, and Jessica Barrow; her brother, Robert Warburton and his wife Carol of Marlborough; a sister, Kathleen Banis and her husband Jimmie of Georgia; her mother-in-law, Edith Barrow of Ellington, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, David and Richard Warburton. Funeral services and burial are private and at the convenience of her family. Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home in Vernon is caring for the arrangements. For online condolences and gust book, please visit www.carmonfuneralhome.com
