Irene C. (Kuchas) Baltronis, 91, of Windsor, beloved wife of the late Joseph Baltronis, passed away, Wednesday, June 21, 2017. Born in Wilson section of Windsor, daughter of the late Anthony and Vincenta (Adient) Kuchas, she was a lifelong Windsor resident. She graduated from the former John Fitch High School in 1944 and had been employed by Hamilton Standard for 18 years before retiring in 1986. Irene was a founding member and past president of the St. Casimir's Lithuanian Society Women's Auxiliary in Poquonock. She loved spending time with her family as well as doing ceramics, gardening, cooking, reading, and sewing. She leaves a son Joseph Baltronis II (Lisa) of Southwick, MA; three daughters Linda Harvey of Windsor, Nancy Murry (Greg) of East Glastonbury, and Tina Holewa of Willington; six grandchildren Amanda, Tracy, Shannon, Erika, Michael, and Amber; eight great grandchildren Jayden, Ela, Alexa, Lily, Ryan, Owen, Sawyer, and Noah; a brother Vincent Kuchas; and many loved nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was predeceased by a daughter Kathleen Weaver; three sons in law Michael Holewa, Philip Weaver, and Peter B. Harvey; a brother Anicetas Kuchas; and a sister Aldona Mazel. Her family will receive friends Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 5-8 pm at the Carmon Poquonock Funeral Home, 1816 Poquonock Avenue, Poquonock Section of Windsor. A Graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2017 11:30 am directly at the Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery, East Street.
