Helen A. Boczar, 95, of Windsor, beloved wife of the late Adolphe J. Boczar, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at her home. Born in East Hampton, MA to the late Aloysius and Julia (Blazej) Woytanis, she has been a Windsor resident for over 66 years and was a member of St. Gabriel Church in Windsor. Helen’s main passion in life was her family and she enjoyed taking care of them and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she will be dearly missed. Helen is survived by her daughters, Joan Delphia and her husband Larry of Windsor, Julie Story and her husband David of Bloomfield; her grandchildren, Christopher Delphia, Alexandra Wittner and Juliana Story; and her great-granddaughter Linnea Wittner. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister and two brothers. Helen’s family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregiver of over 2 years, Louise Hunte, for her devoted, loving care of Helen. Her family will receive friends on Friday, July 14 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave Windsor followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Gabriel Church, 379 Broad St. Windsor. Burial will follow in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Gabriel School, 77 Bloomfield Ave Windsor, CT 06095 or the charity of your choice.
