Gloria Lanz Schambach Simmons Lawson, beloved Mother, Grandmother and Sister went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 10, 2017. She passed peacefully surrounded by family. She was born on December 27, 1930 in Vernon, CT. She was predeceased by her husbands, George Schambach, George Simmons and Harold "Tom" Lawson, brother Charles "Chazz" Lanz, granddaughter Melissa Humphries and parents Charles and Lydia Lanz. Gloria is survived by her children Darleen (Alan) Humphries of Vernon, Doug (Donna) Schambach of FL, Jeffrey (Lisa) Schambach of Vernon and Jodi (Tyler) Champ of Vernon and daughter-in-love Michelle (Rich) White of MD. Her grandchildren Bridgette (Jaime) Rodrigues, Alona (Jenny) Humphries, Brett (Marie) Schambach and Brandon (Holly) Schambach, Cassandra, Kyle & Crystal Schambach, Trevor and Jordan Champ, and 7 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a brother Edwin (Marilyn) Lanz of Ellington and a sister Shirley Lanz of Vernon. A Memorial Service will be held at the Apostolic Christian Church, 34 Middle Butcher Road, Ellington on Saturday, May 13th at 11:00 AM. The calling hours will be just prior to the Memorial Service from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Soldiers', Sailors' and Marines' Fund 1540 Sullivan Ave., South Windsor, CT or the Vernon Volunteer Fire Fighters Association, Inc., PO Box 951, Vernon, CT.
