Georgette Marie Nadeau Creagan, 94, of South Windsor, beloved wife of the late John P. Creagan Sr., died peacefully on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at a local convalescent home, surrounded by her family. She was born on January 29, 1923 in Ste. Marie de Beauce, Quebec, daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Anna Turmel Nadeau. Georgette came to the U.S. with her family as an infant and grew up in Manchester, New Hampshire. She was married to John P. Creagan Sr. on November 11, 1944 and they lived in Willimantic, South Windsor and later Tolland for many years, before retiring to Jupiter, FL. In her life, Georgette always worked, finishing at the Vernon Board of Education, and The Traveler’s Insurance Co. In her retirement, she enjoyed golfing in Florida with her husband and caring for her grandchildren, the center of her life. A loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, she will be dearly missed. She leaves her sons, John P. Creagan Jr., and his wife Charmaine Mesina of San Mateo, CA, James F. Creagan and his wife Patricia of South Windsor, and Jeffrey J. Creagan and his wife Maureen of Lake Forest Park WA; her daughters, Sharon Daly and her husband Larry of Tolland, and Gail Noonan and her husband Robert of Jupiter, FL; 7 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Charles, Denis, Richard, Andrew, Louis, and Pauline. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, 10 a.m., at St. Margaret Mary Church, 80 Hayes Rd., South Windsor. Burial will be private at the request of her family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Georgette's name to St. Margaret Mary Church or Catholic Charities USA or your favorite charity.
