Gail (Miarecki) Giblo, 61, of Douglas, Massachusetts and formerly of Ellington, Connecticut, loving wife of 37 years to Joseph Giblo, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Monday, June 4, 2018. Born in Hartford, the daughter of the late Edwin and Nellie (Dombek) Miarecki she grew up and lived in Ellington before moving to Douglas, MA in 1984. She was a graduate of Ellington High School, Class of 1974, and the Paier School of Art and Interior Decorating in Hamden, CT. Prior to her retirement in 2017, Gail was employed by Raytheon in Marlborough, MA for 30 years. She loved German Shorthaired Pointers and was an avid dog trainer who taught them obedience and hunt training. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her furry babies, her three dogs, Elly, Cora, and Ruby, her two cats, Charlie and Holly; her brother, Walter Miarecki and his wife Christine of Broad Brook, CT; her sister-in-law, Helen Wolff and her husband Kenny of Holyoke, MA; two nieces, Krystal Miarecki and her husband Shane Daley, and Rachel Wolff; two nephews, Eric Miarecki and his wife Jennifer, and Preston Wolff; two great nieces, Kaylee and Reese, and a great nephew, Chase. Her family will receive friends for calling hours on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 1 - 4 p.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon, CT. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Monday, June 11th, at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 33 West Street, Rockville, CT. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made to The German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue of New England, P. O.
