Emily A. (Jackowski) Molleur, 87, of South Windsor, beloved wife of the late Albert J. Molleur, died peacefully on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Hartford Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 22, 1929 in Lynn, MA, daughter of the late Alexander and Antoinette (Scziewski) Jackowski. Emily grew up in Hartford. She was married to the love of her life, Albert J. Molleur, for 66 years before his passing in 2015. She worked for the CT Student Loan Foundation for over 20 years. She enjoyed baking, cooking, canning, knitting and crocheting for her family. On Easter Vigil 2016, Emily received her first communion and was confirmed at the Church of the Holy Family in Hebron. Emily was a special lady who will be greatly missed. She was a kind, caring and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. She leaves her children, Cecilia Sweeney and her husband Robert of Tolland, Diane Molleur of South Windsor, Donald Molleur and his wife Nicole of South Windsor and Brenda Salvador and her husband Russell of Marlborough; her brother, Alexander Jackowski of Hartford; four grandchildren, Amy Downey and her husband Brian of Alexandria, VA, Kylie Vitti and her husband Michael of Montpelier, VT, Eric Molleur and his wife Allison of Ellington and Daniel Molleur and Elise Vaillancourt of Manchester, and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Helen Jackowski, Alice Chamberlain, Charles Jackowski, and Paul Jackowski. Her family wants to thank the nurses and staff at Hartford Hospital, North 11 and Woodlake of Tolland for their kind and compassionate care. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017, 10 a.m., at the Church of the Holy Family, 185 Church St., Hebron, CT. Burial will follow in Marlboro Cemetery.
