She was a proud member of the German Club of East Windsor and an avid fan of the Kentucky Derby. Eileen enjoyed cooking and loved spending time at the beach. A devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend, Eileen will be remembered as a caring person with a warm sense of humor. Even through difficult times, she always had a smile on her face and a heart bigger than life itself. Eileen will be sorely missed by all who knew her especially her nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Eileen is survived by her mother Betty Kuehnel; her sister Beth Vasil and her husband Mark, her brother William Kuehnel, her sister Katie Morse and her husband Kevin, all of South Windsor, her sister Meg Yetishefsky of Hebron; nieces and nephews Kelsey, Kevin, Connor, Caroline and Christopher Morse, Emily and Nicholas Yetishefsky and Mara Vasil; aunts and uncles, Mary Whaples of East Hartford, Robert and Judith Kuehnel of South Windsor, Joseph and Cecilia Martin of North Branford, and many cousins and friends. Eileen leaves a very special friend Andrew Monsees and her favorite dog Murphy of Ellington. Eileen was predeceased by her father, William Kuehnel, brother-in-law Nicholas Yetishefsky and uncle William Whaples. Her family will receive friends Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 5 to 8 PM at Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor. Family and friends may gather Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 9 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church, 80 Hayes Road, South Windsor.
