Dorothy Lee “Dot” Mann, 86, of Hartford, beloved wife of the late Lovely James Mann Sr., passed away peacefully on Monday, May 21, 2018. Born in Pamplico, SC to the late William and Icelean Guiles, she has been a Hartford resident most of her life. A generous, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, she will be dearly missed. She is survived by her sons, Willie J. Mann of Hartford, Ronald Mann (Carmen) of Windsor, Lovely J. Mann Jr. (Yvette) of Hartford, and Henry A. Mann (Patricia) of Bloomfield; her daughters, Cynthia D. Mann of Hartford, Beverly Jacko (Mark) of Columbus, OH; her brothers, Langston Guiles, Samuel Guiles (Denise), John Guiles (Lily), William T. Guiles Jr. (Cynthia); ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son Lennon Mann, her brothers, Douglas Guiles, William Guiles and Winston Guiles, and her sisters, Helen Lewis and Marie Thompkins. A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon, Tuesday, May 29 at The First Cathedral, 1151 Blue Hills Ave, Bloomfield, CT followed by burial in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Her family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday from 10:30 pm to 12 pm.
