Donald J. Belliveau, 79, of Bloomfield, beloved husband of the late Sandra (Donaluk) Belliveau, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 21, 2018 at his home. Born in Church Point, Nova Scotia, Canada to the late Anselme and Dora (Melanson) Belliveau, he lived most of his life in Bloomfield. Donald was a detective with the Bloomfield Police Dept for over 26 years retiring in 1991. In addition to serving in the US Airforce he was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Donald is survived by his son Donald Belliveau Jr. and his wife Paula of Bloomfield; his daughter Lisa Yuhas and her husband Tim of Niantic; his sister Sue Vautour and her husband Gerard of Moncton, New Brunswick; and his grandchildren Samuel and Taylor. Don will always be remembered for his williness to help anyone in need and most of all his ability to tell a great story. He will sadly be missed by all. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
