Diane M. (Pepin) Marino, 50, of Enfield formerly of Windsor, beloved wife of Gary Marino, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 while surrounded by her family at Saint Francis Hospital. A daughter of Jeannine (Poirier) Pepin of Windsor, and the late Raymond V. Pepin, Diane was born in Hartford on January 11, 1967 and graduated from Windsor High School. She was raised in the Catholic faith and while growing up, attended St. Gabriel Church in Windsor. Diane loved to be in the company of her friends and family, whether hosting at her home or attending outside celebrations. She loved the outdoors and was happiest camping in her Jayco trailer in Vermont with her husband Gary whom she married in 1989. Her favorite campground in Vermont, “Kenolie Village” became the annual location for Memorial Day weekend celebrations. Diane insisted that everyone gather together to take in the beauty of the outdoors and make lasting family memories. She enjoyed kayaking, long walks through the woods, being near the mountains, and observing nature. Diane was a devoted and loving wife to Gary, her high school friend and sweetheart, as well as a role model and inspiration to her three cherished daughters. She encouraged them to be strong no matter what obstacles crossed their paths. At the time of her passing, Diane was employed with Cigna as a Health Data Specialist. She leaves behind countless colleagues and friends including her best work friend Barbara "Wanda" Vail. In addition to her husband Gary, she leaves her daughters, Ashley Marino and fiancé Todd Kinnin, Kaylee Marino, and Stacey Marino, all of Enfield; a brother, Michael Pepin and his wife Wendy of East Windsor and their children, Quinton, Zebin, and Zoe; a sister, Karen Hunt and her husband Keith of Southington and their children, Lindsey and Chelsea; a dear friend from childhood, Tim Ballard and his wife Gina as well as a host of extended family members and friends. Diane’s family wishes to thank Dr. Courtney Norton at the St. Francis oncology center for her professional and compassionate care during this journey. Diane’s family will receive friends on Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 3-6 p.m. at Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor, CT 06095. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home at 9 a.m., Monday for a processional to be followed by a memorial mass at 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel Church, 379 Broad St., Windsor, CT 06095. A picnic celebration of Diane's life will be hosted by family friends. Diane was a ray of sunshine in the lives of her family and friends; please honor her memory by sending a brightly colored floral tribute or wearing a piece of yellow clothing.
