Catharine C. Page, 66, of Broad Brook, CT passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016 surrounded by her three children while at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. She was born in Manchester, CT on December 2, 1949 to Francis and Beverly (Kehoe) Coope. Catharine lived in South Windsor for most of her life where she raised her family. She was a graduate of South Windsor High School. After living in Florida for several years, Cathy retired to Broad Brook, CT to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Cathy was very intelligent and loved by many. She worked as an office manager, a Tupperware Consultant, and various other jobs, but she would tell you her most important jobs were as a mother and wife. She was an active member of the PTO and she regularly volunteered her time. Catharine was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church. She enjoyed and excelled at many activities and hobbies including playing Bunco, sewing, gardening, boating, camping, and hosting family gatherings. Anyone that knew Cathy well could attest to her love for lighthouses, her joyous holiday spirit, and that she made the best pressure cooked baked beans around. Catharine is survived by her daughter Jennifer Page Thornton and her husband Michael of South Windsor, their children Jadyn Pyrch, Vivian Pyrch, Addison Thornton; her sons John Paul "J.P." Page and his wife Tammy of Enfield, their daughter Haley Page; and Joseph Page and his wife Michelle of Broad Brook, their children Olivia Page, Lucas Page; her brothers Daniel Coope of Jupiter Florida, and John Coope of Bolton, CT; her sister Margaret Carrier of Chaplin, CT and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Catharine was predeceased by her parents, her brother Paul Coope, and her sister Eileen Glennie.
