Carol Nicholson Fuller, 68, of Suffield, beloved wife for 37 years to Gary E. Fuller, died Saturday, April 13, 2013. Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Sherwin Nicholson and the late Leah (Bertini) Crosby, she was a lifelong resident of Suffield, her hometown which she loved. Carol graduated from Suffield High School in 1963 and spent her life helping and supporting others with her friendly smile and warm personality. She had been a Girl Scout leader, helped as a private duty nurse for many Suffield families, considered a "second mom" to dozens of Suffield children, and enjoyed many years talking to customers at the former Kitty's Deli. Family meant everything to Carol. Besides her husband Gary, she leaves her daughter Amy Young Reay of Suffield; three sons Brian Young of Suffield, Stuart Young and his wife Christine of Granby, and Kevin Fuller of San Diego, CA; three grandchildren Tyler, Megan, and Shane; and her best friend Kim Zaczynski. Besides her father and mother she was predeceased by her sister Lorraine Nicholson Fuller. Carol's family will receive friends Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 5-8 PM at the Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East Street, Suffield followed by a service at 8 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in West Suffield Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Suffield Emergency Aid Association, 450 South Street, Suffield, CT 06078.
