Belinda R. Johanson, 63, of Windsor, beloved wife of Ronald G. Johanson, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 24, 2014 at her home. She was born in Bangor, Maine to the late Cecil P. and Gladys (Stephens) Ryder. "B" moved to Connecticut in 1968 and worked for Lapointe Industries and then Hamilton Standard for over 25 years. She had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to play practical jokes and spent many happy hours playing with her dogs, but especially cherished the time she got to spend with her granddaughter. In addition to her husband Ron, she is survived by her step-daughter, Christine Borneo and her husband Jason, and her granddaughter, Abigail Borneo of Holly Springs, NC; her brothers, Cecil P. Ryder, Jr., Ronald G. Ryder and his wife Lori, Timothy J. Ryder and his wife Sue, John S. Ryder and his wife Kathy; her sister Elizabeth A. Viola and her husband Ralph; her very special nieces, Amy Lamarche and Jill Meyer; her in-laws, Rodney and Virginia Johanson; and three brother-in-laws and their wives as well as many other special family members that loved B dearly. Along with her parents, B was also predeceased by her sister, Mary Ellen Stowe. Belinda's family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 28, from 5-7 p.m. at the Carmon Poquonock Funeral Home, 1816 Poquonock Ave., Windsor.
