Prior to her retirement in 1999, Barbara was employed by Aetna Life and & Casualty Insurance Company in Hartford for 33 years. Barbara enjoyed knitting afghans, reading mysteries, watching Law and Order and Blue Bloods, but she especially enjoyed scratching her instant lottery tickets. She is also survived by her beloved children, Tinamarie Boske and her husband Alan of Ellington, Joseph Corso and his wife Jerilyn of Broad Brook, and Tracy McKay and her husband Greg of Ellington; three grandchildren, Shaun Boske and his wife Jennifer, A.J. Corso, and Julie Hammerschmidt; two great grandchildren, Catina and Angelo Boske; a brother, Herbert Stone of Ft. Pierce, FL; two sisters, Alice Berry and her husband William of Dover, NH, and Dorothy Schmidtz of MO, and many nieces and nephews. Barbara was also predeceased by her grandson, Ryan Anthony Boske, and her brother and sister in law, William and "Kay" Stone. A celebration of her life service will be held on Tuesday, June 21st from 4p-7p at Tinamarie and Alan's home in Ellington and she will be honored at the 8am Mass at St Catherine's Church in Broad Brook on Tuesday, June 28th. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook Street, I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
