Barbara (Marczak) Labbe, loving mother, grandmother and sister passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016. Barbara was born on September 1, 1950 in Hasselt, Belgium and was the daughter of the late Jan and Janina (Krason) Marczak. She was a kind and generous person who loved her family more than anything else and will be dearly missed. Barbara retired after 42 years with the Aetna Life Insurance Company. She is survived by her brother Richard Marczak of Ellington and her sister Theresa Steady and her husband David of Newington, her devoted daughter Tracy Bowman and her husband Craig of Ellington. Her loving nephews David and Christopher Steady of Newington, and her precious granddaughter Emily Bowman who would bring a twinkle to her eye and a smile on lips. Her family will receive friends on Saturday, November 26, 2016, from 9-11 a.m., at the Ladd Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Rd., Vernon. A prayer service will follow in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial will be private at the request of her family.
