Anne (Merusi) Brash, 92, of Avon, formerly of Bloomfield, beloved wife of the late Douglas H. Brash, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 9, 2017. Born in Kingston, NY to the late Alfred and Marie (Binelli) Merusi, she grew up in Hartford, then lived in Bloomfield for many years where she was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart Church. Anne worked as an office administrator at The Predictor, as well as at Gates Learjet, before retiring from the LIMRA Corporation. She enjoyed tennis and golf and was instrumental in the development of the Connecticut Association for Children with Perceptual Learning Disabilities, now known as SpEdConnecticut, Inc. A loving wife, mother and friend, she will be dearly missed. Anne is survived by her sons, Douglas “Jeff” Brash of Burlington, and Allen M. Brash of Okeechobee, FL; and her daughter Kerry Brash and her husband Jack Gedney of Burlington. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother Rev. Alfred Merusi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, August 16 at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Wintonbury Ave Bloomfield, followed by burial in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Her family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 9 AM to 9:45 AM.
