Anna Slipski, 99, of Windsor, beloved wife of the late Walter Slipski, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Fresh River Healthcare in East Windsor. Born in Wallis, TX to the late Jilji and Emilie (Macha) Riha, she has been a Windsor resident most of her life and was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Poquonock. Anna's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Fresh River Healthcare for their compassionate care of Anna. She is survived by her son, Lawrence "Larry" Slipski of Reidsville, NC; her daughter Patricia Pepin and her husband Richard of Enfield, Alice Cote and her husband Joe of Vernon; her sister Christine Riha of Texas; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Monday, June 19 at St. Joseph Church, 1747 Poquonock Ave Poquonock, followed by burial in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Her family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Carmon Poquonock Funeral Home, 1816 Poquonock Ave Poquonock.
