DICKMAN. Albert G. Dickman, 72, of Enfield, beloved husband of Gloria (Carrier) Dickman passed away at home surrounded by his loving family Monday, February 6, 2017. Born June 27, 1944 in Hartford, son of the late Albert A. and Ann (Kupchunos) Dickman, he grew up in East Hartford, graduating from East Hartford High School in 1963, after graduating he joined the US Marine Corps and served with them for 4 ½ years during the Vietnam War. After serving his country he worked for Connecticut Light & Power for the next 42 years before retiring in 2010. Albert enjoyed country music, westerns, playing checkers, watching the New York Yankees and bird watching as well as being a train enthusiast but most of all he enjoyed the time spent with his family. Besides his wife Gloria, he is survived by his three children, Corinne Wentworth and her husband, Tim of Enfield, Dawn LaRosa of East Windsor and her husband Maurice of Enfield, Dean Dickman and his wife, Jamie of Enfield; his grandchildren, Samuel, Kaitlyn and Rebecca Wentworth, Jessica and Rachel LaRosa, Logan Dickman; two brothers, William and Donald Dickman; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his dear friends, Ed Timreck and Nick Gugliotti; and his beloved dog, Ginger. He was predeceased by a sister, Lois Hassett and a brother, Peter Dickman. His family will receive friends Friday, February 10, 2017 from 5-7 PM at Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St. N. (Rt. 159), Suffield. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11, 2017, 10:00 AM, at Faith Baptist Church, 182 Broad Brook Rd., Enfield. Burial with military honors will be in Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Multiple Sclerosis Society, 659 Tower Ave., 1st Floor, Hartford, CT 06112-1269.
