Condolence & Memory Journal

Jim,

My family and I were very sad to hear this news just this week. While my mom was visiting a year ago December, we visited with your mom at her home. It was so good to see her then. I have so many fun memories of her and our parents over the years. She was funny, smart and just a kind lady. Our deepest sympathy!

Dear Jim: I'm so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She was such a wonderful friend and support to my father Burton, especially after my mother died in 2003. I continued to send her my annual Christmas letter right up until now because my family was practically her own. She was a wonderfully warm person who always was keenly interested in how things in my life were going. Best to you and your family.

It's so heartbreaking knowing I'll never have the opportunity to talk to and listen to Mrs. Burger again. As a former delivery person at Fitzgerald's Foods, I would often bring Phyllis her two-bags of groceries on Mondays and while standing in her kitchen we would have such interesting conversations. I always enjoyed her stories. My favorite memory is how she would describe the train set she displayed during the Christmas season. Everyone who knew Phyllis will miss her.

Dear Jim,
I am very saddened by your mother's death. She was a remarkable lady with a keen intellect and a great sense of humor. I admired and loved her and enjoyed
working. With her at First Church as did my husband. Then I had the good fortune to move near her at HeritageGlen. Her indomitable sprit and endearing ways will be with you forever,
My prayers and deepest sympathy are with you and the family.

Sincerely, Mim
Shepard
