Patricia A. (Elliott) Schopp, 81, of South Windsor, beloved wife of Raymond Schopp, died Tuesday (December 13, 2016) at home in prayer with her family at her side. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on March 16, 1935 daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Borland) Elliott. With her husband, Ray of fifty-four years, they raised their family in South Windsor. Patricia worked for 23 years at the South Windsor Pharmacy before retiring to spend time with her grandchildren. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Parish, South Windsor. Patricia was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was an incredible cook and baker and made many people happy with her wonderful meals, wedding and birthday cakes as well as homemade bread. In recent years, Pat was unable to pursue her hobbies due to physical limitations, but she took up word games on her Kindle, enjoyed watching UCONN Women's Basketball and stayed up-to-date in everyone's life while visiting with her family and grandchildren. Pat's wonderful personality, warm smile and gracious way made her many new friends at The Village at Buckland Court. Pat and her caregivers enjoyed sweet friendships as they assisted and supported her with tender loving care in every aspect of her day. Patricia, leaves her children, Lynn Marinelli and her husband, John, Margaret Peruccio and her husband Edward and Virginia Hughes and her husband Frederick all of South Windsor; her daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Schopp of Kentucky, six adoring grandchildren, Alison and Jenna Marinelli, Marissa and Daniel Peruccio and Alexander and Katherine Hughes and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond T. Schopp, Sr. and a son, Raymond T. Schopp, Jr. Her family will receive friends on Friday, December 16, 2016, from 3-7 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor.
