Pierre P. Lessard, 76, of South Windsor, passed away on August 22, 2016. He was born in Fall River, MA on October 25, 1939 and was the son of the late Joseph M. and Regina (Desjardins) Lessard. Pierre graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Upon graduation, he was employed by General Electric Corporation in Waynesboro, Virginia as an electrical engineer. He also later served as an electrician's assistant at Roger's Mill in Talcottville. Pierre is survived by a brother, David Lessard and his wife, Carol of Ellington; sisters Ann Denley and her husband, Thomas of The Villages, FL, Dr. Marie Roy and her husband, D.N. of Toronto, Canada, and Estelle Hermes and her husband, Brian of Michigan and West Hartford; nephews Dwight Denley, Ravi Roy, and Nicholas Hermes; and nieces Dia Roy and Aimee (Hermes) Simon. A funeral service for Pierre will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 27th at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor. Burial will follow at Wapping Cemetery, South Windsor. His family will receive friends from 9-10:00 AM, on Saturday, August 27th at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home.
